Ways to Get Involved
As a teen, it is not only important to have a like-minded group of friends but also to get involved with extracurricular activities. By participating in things like athletics, band, theater, or joining the newspaper staff, teens have a framework for their free time. They build relationships with coaches, teammates, peers, and sponsors which helps them feel connected and gives them purpose. Healthy social connections play a crucial role in a teenager's mental and emotional development, influencing their sense of self-worth and ability to make healthy choices.
There are many clubs, activities, teams, and events to get involved with in the Parkway School District. It’s not hard to find something in which you are interested. Below are a few possibilities to check out at each middle and high school.
